About the Show

This amateur production of FAME - The Musical is being staged by Theatre Studio, a leading performing arts school based at the Playhouse Theatre in Cheltenham. The show willl be the culmination of our week-long 2008 Easter School.

Over the course of the week, hundreds of kids will work tirelessly to produce a professional piece of theatre - as well as designing and building all the sets, rigging and operating the lighting and stage managing the show (under the watchful eye of our professional tutors!).

There are two acting courses open to anyone aged between 7 and 18 with a love of theatre and performance, as well as a Technical Course for students with a flair for design, lighting and set construction. This is the only course offered in Gloucestershire whereby students can learn the complex and exciting life that goes on 'behind the scenes'.

Our past Easter School shows have included 'West Side Story', 'Oliver' and 'The Adventures of Mr. Toad' and last year's smash hit 'Disney's High School Musical'.
